Performs general park maintenance work at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake such as trash rounds, emptying of trash cans, spreading mulch, house keeping, park sanitation, line trimming, and prep/clean reservation areas (other duties as assigned).Will operate a variety of small to medium hand held equipment such as powers tools, blowers including ride behind blowers, pressure washers, water wagon, line/string trimmers. Will operate Toro workman carts, golf carts and city vehicles. Work is performed outdoors and employee is exposed to weather conditions, insects, and various chemicals. Work is performed with limited supervision and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion. WORK SCHEDULE: must have a flexible schedule and available seven days a week including weekends and holidays, is subject to change based on division needs, park schedule, and events. WORK LOCATION: Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake, 3401 S. Hiawassee Road, Orlando 32835. Minimum Requirements: High school graduate and one (1) year of experience in grounds and general maintenance required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be able to lift 50 pounds; walk for long periods; bend, and stoop; and tolerate working outdoors. Valid drivers license is required. THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.
