Your Mission: In the role, with no onsite supervision, you will drive the Love Kitchen Truck (Tractor-trailer), pick up food orders from designated stores, and manage Little Caesars franchise employees and volunteers when they staff the Love Kitchen at serving sites. You will maintain the working order of the Love Kitchen, including repair and scheduled maintenance, make and serve multiple pizzas in a short amount of time, and align vehicle compliance with all DOT guidelines. How You'll Make an Impact: Manage scheduled site servings, traveling city by city, within master schedule: 8 days on the road (1 travel day + 6 serving days + 1 travel day) / 4 days off. Manage and oversee all serving site activity and communication with individuals at events. This includes serving-site staff, Little Caesars franchise/restaurant crew, corporate colleagues, national partners, media, etc. Drive the Love Kitchen to each serving site. Plan efficient, safest routes to the location, ensuring the Love Kitchen arrives on time. Manage all Little Caesars franchise employees and volunteers who staff the Love Kitchen at serving sites; alongside volunteers, physically make pizzas within the Love Kitchen truck to prepare for service. Work with scheduler(s) to confirm scheduled servings. Communicate/contact franchisees and serving sites before each serving to confirm service site details. Drive to each designated store location to physically load food order onto truck before scheduled serving. Set up and take down the Love Kitchen at each serving site (turn on/off oven switches and start/stop generator, etc.). Maintain working order of all Love Kitchen equipment. Perform minor repairs as required. Keep accurate records to align with Penske and DOT regulations. Track and submit weekly expense reports. Monitor permit records on units. Obtain necessary permits as needed. Communicate with Love Kitchen corporate colleagues to prepare press releases and written communications as needed. Coordinate with repair and maintenance vendors on Love Kitchen repairs. Assist Love Kitchen lead with special requests/servings as needed. Who You Are: High school diploma or equivalent. Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Two years of tractor/trailer operation experience, including city driving and backing up experience. Ability to read and follow an atlas map. Analytical skills necessary to troubleshoot mechanical problems with equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of federal DOT regulations. Ability to regularly and often lift approximately 40 lbs. Ability to load and unload large amounts of heavy food packages when picking up food orders. Ability to stand for long periods of time while making and serving pizza. Ability to sit for long periods of time while driving from location to location. Ability to travel overnight 75% of the time. Where You’ll Work: A typical schedule will be one day of travel to the serving site, six days of serving, and one day of travel home from the serving site. Then you will have four days off. The schedule will then repeat. You will have daily exposure to loud noise from generator that powers the Love Kitchen unit. You will be exposed to very warm climates while working in a warm kitchen.
