The Opportunity The Senior Director of PAA Business Operations is accountable for leading a centralized team of operations and business support professionals accountable for supporting a 40 person external affairs, access strategy, contracting, patient experience, and corporate communication department. Responsibilities
Leads multi-team strategy and operations function, accountable for setting vision; the people management strategy; business priorities/outcomes; budget oversight; and team operations Manages both people leaders and individual contributors Coaches, holds team members accountable to Role Standards, and actively manages poor performance in partnership with P&C Evaluates and deploys financial resources to maximize business impact Models Inclusive Leadership and fosters belonging by: consistently executing best hiring practices, completing Manager Belonging Goals and completing Inclusive Learning requirements Proactively provides strategic thought partnership, operations, and business planning to leadership/stakeholders to drive business impact Operates as the Operations Lead to the Sr. Vice President Public Affairs and Access with coordination with the Head of Strategy, Impact & Operations Provides thought partnership, operations, and business planning to the Public Affairs and Access Leadership team to drive business impact Oversees key functional PAA operational areas, including: Strategic operations and administrative business support to PAA functions. PAA-level program/process management, business continuity, and agile operations, and people process (including manager / extended leadership development, employee engagement, and the PAA internship program) Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) operations including management and execution of key compliance, contracting and business processes to support evidence generation across PAA. Leads strategic planning, implementation, and change management activities for cross-functional teams and leadership teams Develops, leads and facilitates fit-for-purpose financial/resource management tools, people practices, frameworks, and processes to support leadership decision making, financial stewardship, efficiency, and performance management/succession planning Develops and executes multi-channel communication and engagement strategies to drive belonging, innovation, and collaboration within the function and/or across the enterprise Manages complex workstreams (including Work Product Teams and Communities of Practice) that impact corporate reputation, profitability, and/or CMG Outcomes Develops enterprise strategies to equip and empower stakeholders to deliver on our Operating Principles and fulfill our mission in service of customers and patients Collective Leadership: Leads across the enterprise through the Public Affairs & Access Leadership Team, USLT Ops Lead Community, CMG Senior Leadership Collective and beyond Leverages, deploys effectively, and shares network across the organization and/or externally to identify synergies, catalyze action, and deliver results Who you are: You have a Bachelor’s Degree You have 15 or more years relevant experience, specifically in specifically in operations, management consulting, or strategy and operations You have Minimum 8 years of experience in a people management role; demonstrated evidence of successfully achieving results, managing a high functioning team that delivers on their accountabilities, and mentoring and developing emerging leaders Exceptional leader – able to inspire and motivate people to make a big impact and deliver their best every day. Track record of having the courage to drive change, while balancing risks and pacing for success Ability to build networks, collaborate and influence across the department and the enterprise Expert knowledge of healthcare compliance Demonstrated experience with strategic planning process, goal setting, priority setting and resource allocation

Business travel for internal and external meetings as required The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $201,300/yr to $373,800/yr. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
