Job description

The Suffolk County Police Department, an accredited law enforcement agency, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Commissioner. POSITION DETAILS: Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of twelve years of executive administrative, operational, and investigative experience in a state or local law enforcement agency with sworn staff of at least 7,000 members. This experience must include at least ten years of administrative experience as Commanding Officer and/or Executive Officer of an Intelligence Bureau overseeing the investigation, collection and evaluation of all data, relating to criminal and counter-terrorism activities, at least two of which must have been gained overseeing a Joint Terrorism Task Force with the FBI.
