Assistant Manager – MEP Audit & Facilities Operations Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for MEP Audit and Facilities Operations to provide technical leadership, operational excellence, and strategic guidance for critical infrastructure assets. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with a strong focus on preventive maintenance, energy auditing, and ensuring 100% uptime for mission-critical facilities. Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance Management Conduct comprehensive MEP audits including thermal imaging of electrical systems, motor loading surveys, and ultrasonic flow testing Perform power quality and harmonics analysis with recommendations for improvement Execute chiller performance analysis, air balance monitoring, and AHU performance studies Conduct electrical safety audits and detailed energy audits Perform light lux measurements and ultrasonic pipe thickness measurements Analyze electrical consumption and identify energy optimization opportunities Reporting & Compliance Develop, implement, and submit MIS reports Maintain accurate records of all statutory compliances and initiate timely renewals Track and report all activities, routine works, breakdowns, and preventive/precautionary maintenance jobs Prepare daily and monthly operational reports Manage documentation for all equipment maintenance as per Standard Operating Procedures Service Delivery & Customer Management Monitor Service Request Help Desk operations as per defined SLAs and customer requirements Conduct quarterly site visits, inspections, and provide improvement recommendations with completion timelines Manage customer complaint records, tracking, and resolutions Handle AMCs for critical equipment and spares Team Leadership & Strategy Provide vision, strategy, and implementation guidance for full scope of facility services Coordinate with statutory authorities for NOC/compliance requirements Ensure safety standards compliance for all employees and third-party contractors Lead events management and operational coordination initiatives Prepare and manage RCM budgets and work order management Required
Qualifications
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field Professional certifications in Energy Audit, Electrical Safety, or Facilities Management (preferred)
Experience
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, MEP operations, and technical auditing At least 3-5 years in supervisory/managerial capacity Proven experience managing critical infrastructure for commercial real estate, data centers, hotels, pharmaceutical facilities, or similar high-uptime environments
Experience
with testing and commissioning of HT/LT switchgear and electrical systems Technical Expertise Deep understanding of HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, DG synchronization, and power distribution Expertise in HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, VRV systems, and cooling towers Proficiency in BMS, fire alarm systems, CCTV, and access control systems Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, statutory compliance requirements, and energy management
Experience
with technical auditing tools and methodologies (thermal imaging, power quality analyzers, ultrasonic testing equipment) Familiarity with electrical switchgear from major OEMs (ABB, L&T, Siemens, Schneider) Key Competencies Strategic thinking and operational planning Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Team leadership and people management capabilities Budget management and cost optimization focus Customer-centric service delivery approach Attention to detail and quality standards Ability to work under pressure and manage emergency situations
