Job Summary

The Foundation’s Gratitude Events Coordinator partners closely with internal stakeholders, under the guidance of the Events Specialist, to advance gratitude-centered initiatives that strengthen connections between donors, patients, and care teams. This role supports the growth of a culture of gratitude across NGHS by helping translate patient and donor appreciation into meaningful engagement opportunities that reinforce the Foundation’s fundraising and stewardship goals. Through coordination of gratitude-focused experiences and communication, the position plays a key role in amplifying the impact of philanthropy across the system and ensuring consistent, thoughtful recognition of those who contribute to and benefit from our mission. Responsibilities

Partners with Foundation and other partners to develop, execute, promote and track prospective donor events, tours, recognition events and stewardship opportunities. Collaborates with Event Specialist to develop gratitude event plans for all community, donor and celebration events. Uses Raisers Edge to enter activities, pull lists and document events from the Foundation's perspective. Serves on NGHS event committees, assisting with material coordination, reporting, timely communications and recruiting. Develops and maintains strong relationships with volunteers, sponsors, third-party fundraisers, and vendors to support and sustain fundraising event initiatives. Collects and partners with the Donor Relations Officer to maintain a robust pipeline of gratitude stories, ensuring stories are captured, curated, and shared appropriately to support engagement and stewardship efforts. Engages with grateful patients to understand their desired expressions of appreciation and identifies appropriate next steps, including conducting initial research and coordinating with team members when further evaluation or follow-up is needed Assists with donor stewardship and volunteer appreciation including acknowledgment of hospital stays, honor and memorial gifts, and special occasions including birthdays and anniversaries, etc. Other duties as assigned.
