Experienced Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Experienced Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) programs. The successful candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Fuels system of the B-52, providing expertise in design and sustainment. Position

Responsibilities

Lead the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment Lead the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers Perform detailed design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations Prepare technical documents for mechanical components and systems Prepare proposal and new business development efforts Work with test program management for work estimation and intake process Delegate tasks to design team and provide supervision to junior engineers. Qualifications

(Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences) 5+ years of experience in mechanical system design Practical experience and knowledge of Fuels, Hydraulic Systems, or ECS.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

with and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience

reading and interpreting engineering schematics, and specifications

Experience

performing Mechanical System Design and Analysis 3+ years of experience designing tooling using CAD/CAM software, preferably CATIA

Experience

producing technical reports and presentations Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills Familiarity with engineering processes and methods

Experience
