Responsibilities
FPGA Design: Design and implement FPGAs using VHDL/Verilog for high-speed data processing, control, and communication applications. FPGA Verification: Verify FPGAs using SystemVerilog and the latest object oriented methodologies to create a flexible environment to achieve high test coverage metrics. Circuit Design: Develop and optimize electrical circuits for photonics systems, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal designs. System Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (optical, software, and hardware engineers) to integrate FPGA designs with broader optical systems. Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing and verification of FPGA designs and electrical circuits to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Documentation: Create detailed design documentation, test plans, and reports to support design, testing, and product lifecycle management. Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, test and firmware engineers to define system requirements and collaborate on end-to-end system architecture and implementation. Troubleshooting & Debugging: Analyze and debug electrical and FPGA-related issues in both simulation and real-world environments, ensuring optimized performance and quality.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
3+ years of experience in FPGA design and verification using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog. Proven experience with high-speed digital design, signal integrity, and hardware debugging.
Experience
with tools such as Xcelium, Xilinx Vivado, or Altera Quartus.
Experience
with PCB design, layout, and circuit simulation tools. Technical Skills: Proficiency in FPGA architecture, implementation, and verification techniques. Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design, including signal processing, power management, and high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet).
Experience
with scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, or TCL for automation and testing purposes. Knowledge of industry standards and protocols (e.g., Ethernet, SPI, I2C). Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience
working with real-time system, optical sensors, LiDAR. Knowledge of embedded systems design.
