About the Role We are seeking a Senior Lab Engineer to lead the design, operation, and optimization of HVAC systems in laboratory and controlled environments (e.g., psychometric rooms, calorimeter rooms, noise rooms). This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate testing conditions, system reliability, and compliance with international standards, while supporting NPD programs and improving lab performance. Responsibilities
Design and optimize HVAC systems for laboratory environments (psychometric rooms, calorimeter rooms, noise rooms) Ensure precise control of temperature, humidity, airflow, and air quality in line with required standards Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of laboratory HVAC systems Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory systems Ensure compliance with AHRI, ISO, JIS, and other relevant standards Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders for project execution Develop and review technical documents, drawings, and specifications Drive energy-saving initiatives and system efficiency improvements Supervise junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support
Qualifications
& Skills Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field 3–5 years of experience in laboratory HVAC systems, with hands-on experience in psychometric or calorimeter rooms Strong knowledge of laboratory HVAC systems (e.g., airflow control, pressure control, air changes, fume exhaust systems) Understanding of HVAC design, load calculation, and system performance analysis Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience
