About the role: Purpose of the Role The Out Trade Executive is responsible for creating authentic and engaging brand experiences that position Diageo's brands as category leaders. The role connects with target consumers at scale, builds brand aspiration, drives product trial, and contributes to sustainable sales growth through outstanding event execution and customer engagement. Financial Accountability Plan, execute, and manage the budget allocated to the Out Trade channel. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell-out, ROI, P&L, conversion, trial, and market share to evaluate the effectiveness and profitability of each event and customer activation, as well as their impact on brand and category performance. Manage the travel budget assigned to the role. Leadership Accountability Lead, coordinate, and develop cross-functional teams across Diageo, agencies, and production partners to successfully deliver the company's strategic objectives related to events and consumer activations. Key Accountabilities Market Opportunity Identification Research and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for out-of-trade events and activations. Build and maintain strong relationships with event promoters, production companies, and other strategic partners to ensure the successful planning and execution of events. Commercial Relationship Management Lead the development of Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and/or commercial agreements with event promoters and production partners, defining commercial terms that ensure profitable activations aligned with business objectives. Manage contracts and commercial agreements effectively, ensuring compliance with both strategic and financial goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with promoters, production companies, and event staff. Support customers with administrative processes, including vendor setup, contract execution, purchase order issuance, invoice tracking, and related activities. Consumer
Experience
Design Partner with BTL marketing agencies to develop innovative and engaging consumer experiences that resonate with target audiences. Ensure brand consistency and executional excellence across all events and activations. Coordinate with the Marketing team to obtain approval of creative assets, designs, visibility materials, and point-of-sale (POS) materials, ensuring compliance with Diageo Marketing Code (DMC) guidelines. Event Execution and Coordination In close collaboration with agencies, oversee the planning, logistics, and execution of nationwide events, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with Diageo standards. Work closely with Marketing and Corporate Relations/Public Relations teams to align amplification strategies with business objectives. Ensure the proper use, management, and maintenance of channel assets, including mobile bars, brand assets, and promotional materials (POS). Performance Evaluation Define and monitor monthly financial and non-financial KPIs to assess the effectiveness and business impact of events and activations. Conduct post-event evaluations to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization, while reviewing overall channel performance on a regular basis. Budget Management Own and manage the Trade Spend and A&P (Advertising & Promotion) activation budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and in compliance with Diageo's internal policies and governance standards.
Experience
3–5 years of experience in Events, Festivals, Brand Experience, Trade Marketing, Commercial, Sales Activation, or Business Development within the FMCG, beverage, entertainment, hospitality, or consumer goods industry. Proven experience negotiating and managing commercial agreements with event promoters, festival organizers, nightlife operators, agencies, or strategic partners.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commercial Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field. Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with promoters, customers, agencies, and strategic partners. Good understanding of event production and operational execution, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure high-quality delivery. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders without direct authority. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate KPIs such as volume, execution quality, consumer contacts, trial, sampling effectiveness, ROI, and commercial performance. Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of autonomy, ownership, and execution excellence. Flexibility and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required by the event calendar. Passion for nightlife, festivals, premium experiences, and consumer engagement.
