This position reports to: IS Service Manager __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that users have the precise access rights required for their tasks - adhering to the principle of least privilege. You will support the business units as main contact regarding the role concept and authorizations, as well as in all SAP User Access Management topics. You will also showcase your skills by continuously improving our GRC application and access control processes. The work model for the role is: hybrid This role serves as a vital bridge between IT infrastructure and business departments to protect sensitive data while maintaining operational efficiency You will be mainly accountable for: Maintaining and developing the SAP role and authorization concepts in collaboration with functional departments. Conducting user access reviews and regular access controls for internal and external audits. Analyzing and evaluating critical authorizations and Segregation of
Duties
(SoD) conflicts. Manage and further develop the SAP GRC system (Access Control, Risk Analysis & Remediation, Firefighter). Our team dynamics You will join a multicultural SAP team where you can thrive. Locally, the team consists of six members including the Hiring Manager, and in total you will collaborate with an extended team of 15–20 people, as well as external service providers. We value collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
for the role Several years of practical experience in SAP Roles & Authorization Management, ideally including S/4HANA and Fiori.
Experience
as an SAP security consultant or in a similar SAP security/authorization role. Solid understanding of audit requirements, IT security, and compliance processes. Practical skills in resolving authorization issues (e.g., SU53, system traces) and supporting SAP upgrades and projects. Good knowledge of SAP GRC Access Control (e.g., ARA, EAM/Firefighter, ARM, BRM) and maintaining SoD rules and risk definitions. Solid communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills, combined with a structured working style. Completed vocational training or a university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field. Professional‑level German and English skills (C1–C2).
