$86,500 - $145,000 annually Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation. Job Type Unclassified Department Recorder About the Position The IT Project Manager is responsible for organizing and driving project delivery across business and technical teams. Projects may include software development, application implementation, infrastructure, vendor-supported solutions, system enhancements, and other technology initiatives. The IT Project Manager works with project sponsors, stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and operational staff to define project objectives, develop delivery plans, coordinate project activities, monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate project status. The successful candidate will be able to lead projects with competing priorities, fixed deadlines, cross-functional dependencies, and significant operational impact. The position requires strong planning, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Experience

Experience

Experience

preparing project plans, schedules, status reports, dashboards, decision materials, and executive-level presentations

Experience

working with Agile, iterative, hybrid, and traditional project delivery practices Knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing, change control, release management, implementation, and operational-readiness practices

Experience

coordinating vendors and monitoring contractual deliverables, schedules, invoices, dependencies, and performance Project Management Professional certification or an equivalent project management certification

Experience

working in government, regulated, mission-critical, or high-availability operational environments Job Contributions Leads assigned technology projects from initiation through implementation, operational transition, and closeout Works with project sponsors and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, priorities, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, resource needs, constraints, and measures of success Develops and maintains project plans, schedules, budgets, communication materials, status reports, decision records, change records, and other documentation appropriate to project size and complexity Coordinates project activities across business units, software development, business analysis, quality assurance, infrastructure, security, vendors, consultants, and operational support teams Facilitates project planning, status, decision, implementation readiness, and closeout meetings, and follows up on commitments, approvals, deliverables, and assigned actions Monitors project scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; coordinates mitigation and resolution activities; and escalates barriers or variances that threaten successful delivery Manages project changes by documenting requests, coordinating impact analysis and approval, and updating project plans, schedules, budgets, and communications Coordinates requirements, design, development, testing, security review, deployment, training, communications, support, and operational-transition activities with the teams responsible for those functions Monitors adherence to established project management, software development lifecycle, change control, quality assurance, release management, security, procurement, financial management, and documentation requirements and escalates exceptions as appropriate Develops and presents project communications to leadership, sponsors, stakeholders, vendors, and project teams; coordinates vendor performance and deliverables; and conducts project closeout, transition, and lessons-learned activities

Working Conditions

Most work is performed in both office and remote work environments. Employees may be eligible for hybrid work arrangements in accordance with Office policies and operational requirements.
