Our workplaces play a critical role in enabling our people to do their best work—and we’re now looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Workplace Operations to lead and evolve our workplace portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. The role Reporting to the Director, Workplace Operations (APAC), you will lead the day-to-day management of Stryker’s workplaces across the region. You’ll be the key point of contact for regional leaders, ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, fit-for-purpose and aligned to business growth. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role combining facilities management, stakeholder partnership, vendor governance, and strategic planning, with a clear focus on employee experience, operational excellence and scalability. What you’ll do Lead, coach and develop a regional Workplace Operations team covering facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, space utilisation, workplace services and FM project delivery Partner with regional leaders to understand business needs and translate these into effective workplace, space and service strategies Lead and govern third-party service providers across facilities, building services, moves, hospitality, cleaning, security and related services Represent the business on regional RE&F projects including renovations, expansions and consolidations, including move planning and occupancy tracking Own regional operating and capital budgets, including forecasting, variance reporting and quarterly reviews Ensure safe, compliant and sustainable workplace operations in line with company standards, RE&F strategy and local regulations Identify and deliver opportunities to improve space utilisation, service delivery, employee experience and cost efficiency Collaborate closely with HR, IT, Security, Finance, Legal, EHS and global RE&F partners to deliver integrated solutions What you’ll bring Required 10+ years’ progressive experience in Workplace or Facilities Operations within a complex or regulated environment, with accountability for service delivery, vendors and budgets Experience leading geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams and operating effectively with senior stakeholders Demonstrated commercial acumen, including ownership of budgets and the ability to build business cases and drive change Experience delivering complex workplace or operational initiatives with strong communication, planning and organisational skills Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Real Estate or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Professional certifications such as IFMA, CoreNet, BOMA or LEED Travel Percentage: 30% Stryker is one of the world’s leading medical technology companies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
