ABB Ability Innovation Center hosts one of ABB’s largest global engineering and digital solution teams, supporting the development, deployment, and lifecycle management of advanced digital offerings. We are seeking a qualified Asset Performance Management (APM) Specialist – Electrical to deliver and operationalize digital APM solutions for global customers across the energy and process industries. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid. This role is contributing to Process Automation business for Energy Industries based in Bangalore, India You will be mainly accountable for: Lead the end-to-end execution of APM projects, including requirement analysis, solution configuration, deployment, commissioning, and customer onboarding. Configure and tailor ABB’s APM platform for electrical asset families to improve asset availability, reliability, and maintenance effectiveness. Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, validation, and ensure readiness for operational use. Provide customer training, post-deployment support, and ongoing technical services. Collaborate with cross-functional global teams such as engineering, domain experts, data science, UI/UX, product management, and service teams. Contribute to product development cycles by identifying issues, raising defect reports, and recommending enhancements based on field insights. You will join a high performing team, where you will be able to thrive. Qualifications for the role Minimum of 8 years of experience in process or energy industries. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance of electrical assets in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Power, or Specialty Chemicals sectors. Strong understanding of asset maintenance practices including RCM, CBM, and reliability methodologies and Familiarity with deployment of digital solutions on cloud and on‑premise environments. Working knowledge of RHEL, container-based edge systems, Windows administration, network architecture, and cybersecurity requirements. Proficiency with industrial automation systems and communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, IEC 61850, HART, and Profinet. Experience with asset modeling, requirement interpretation, and coordination with R\&D teams. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred). Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
