Senior Associate - International Settlements

We are seeking a motivated associate to join the EMEA Capital Markets Operations team, supporting international settlements across multiple markets. As a Senior Associate within the International Settlements team, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end settlement of securities transactions across EMEA markets. You will be responsible for managing more complex breaks ensuring robust controls and contributing to the development of processes within a newly established function. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with global stakeholders, enhance your product and market knowledge, and actively contribute to building a scalable and efficient settlements platform. Responsibilities
Manage the settlement lifecycle of securities transactions across EMEA markets, ensuring timely and accurate processing Investigate and resolve complex settlement breaks, including unmatched trades, fails, and cash/stock discrepancies Monitor settlement exposures and escalate risks appropriately Liaise with brokers, custodians, clients, and internal stakeholders to facilitate issue resolution Perform and review reconciliations across systems and accounts Ensure adherence to market deadlines, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks Support the development and enhancement of processes, controls, and operating procedures Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives within the settlements function Provide guidance and support to junior team members where required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline 3–5 years of experience in capital markets operations, preferably in settlements or trade support Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle and settlement processes across multiple asset classes Familiarity with EMEA market practices and settlement cycles (e.g., T+2)
Experience
