As a Structural Analysis Engineer – Level 2 or 3 located in Dulles or McLean, VA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. The East Engineering Vehicle and Mechanical Engineering team is looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer to assist an experienced team of mechanical engineers performing mechanical and structural analysis on one or more spacecraft systems or subsystems. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities

may include the following: Performing static and dynamic structure analysis. Reviewing requirements for materials, structure systems & subsystems. Selecting appropriate technical information and data from applicable products. Determining the technical principles involved, identifying the design path forward and computing the engineering characteristics to ensure consistency with the specifications design needs and requirements of space applications. Releasing results as “technical documents” after review by the senior members of the team. Developing innovative solutions and elaborating on design concepts. Evaluating completed designs with supervisor and other technical groups, and making modifications necessary to achieve the most ideal design. Northrop Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
