Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Technician works only under onsite supervision of a PT or PTA. Perform specific patient treatments as directed by the therapist. Prepare the patient and/or treatment area for treatment, and responsible for maintaining the physical order of the department. Responsibilities

Perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific function may change from time to time. Carries out the principles of positive customer relations. Renders safe, appropriate treatment under the on-site supervision of a PT/PTA according to departmental policies and procedures. Transfers and positions patients appropriately. Reports any change in condition or adverse reaction of the patients to the therapist. Maintains physical order of the department. Cleans equipment following each patient use and processes trash and linen appropriately. Assists with the clerical duties as needed. Keeps gym, office areas, treatments areas, and equipment room neat and orderly. Assists other support staff in order to promote an efficient delivery of PT services. Minimum Education, Training and

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of on the job training, including initial and annual competency training/demonstration. This includes successful completion and maintenance of BLS certification.
