Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Communications Modernization team within the HIG India technology organization. This role supports the transformation of customer communication and publishing platforms from legacy systems to modern, cloud‑native, microservices‑based architectures, including OpenText Exstream Cloud‑Native (CN) on AWS. This role is ideal for an AI‑First engineer who applies modern engineering practices, leverages AI‑assisted development tools, and thrives working in distributed Agile teams modernizing enterprise platforms. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications and services supporting publishing and customer communications platforms. Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices that modernize legacy publishing workflows and orchestration engines. Develop front‑end solutions and UI components to support internal platforms, dashboards, and publishing tooling. Collaborate with onshore architects, product owners, and vendors to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions. Contribute to modernization efforts migrating from legacy systems to OpenText Exstream Cloud‑Native and AWS‑based services. Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, code‑assist platforms, prompt‑based tooling) to improve productivity, code quality, and speed to delivery. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, security, and performance best practices. Support DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud deployments. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives). Provide operational support and troubleshooting for publishing applications as needed. Required Skills &

Experience

4+ years of hands‑on experience in full stack software development. Strong experience with one or more backend languages such as Java (Spring Boot) or .NET, and scripting languages such as Python. Proficient in front‑end technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular or React, HTML, and CSS.

Experience

designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures. Working knowledge of AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, SNS/SQS). Strong understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). Hands‑on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code concepts. Proven ability to integrate AI‑enabled capabilities into day‑to‑day engineering practices across the SDLC, including development, debugging, code reviews, and technical design exploration.

Experience

working in Agile / Scrum delivery models. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
