The Role Computer Operators at Kyndryl are key in helping revolutionize the way we operate complex computer systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, supervise and control intricate networks and applications, and operate distributed systems in a multi-vendor environment. As a Computer Operator you will be on the technical frontline – performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to develop support system management processes specific to customer requirements, ensuring that we provide the highest level of service to our customers. Responsibilities
Lead and oversee daily operations for Mainframe batch/console operations, Mainframe Technical Support, and iSeries operations. Provide technical guidance and operational direction to the operations team across MF, Tech, iSeries, and MRO environments. Manage daily, weekly, and shift-based work schedules and ensure adequate operational coverage. Coordinate staffing and operational responsibilities for batch streams and LPAR coverage. Provide operational leadership during Sev1 and Sev2 incidents as the primary operations focal point. Drive SWAT calls and lead operational issue resolution activities through completion. Conduct daily operations status meetings and morning turnover calls. Attend and actively participate in all operational and change management calls. Experience
with scheduling software, reporting, and logging Proficient with Operating Systems
Experience
with Troubleshooting, Backup/Recovery and Basic Networking Required Technical and Professional Expertise Strong experience in Mainframe Operations, Batch Processing, Console Operations, and Infrastructure Support.
Experience
with ITSM/Remedy ticketing systems and incident management processes. Strong understanding of SLA management and operational governance. Proven ability to lead Sev1/Sev2 incident management and SWAT calls. Excellent customer communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
Experience
managing operations teams in a 24x7 production support environment. Knowledge of Mainframe technologies, iSeries operations, and enterprise infrastructure support. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Experience

supporting financial services or enterprise production environments. Familiarity with QMX, SharePoint, IPC tools, VDI environments, and operational governance processes.
