Work Arrangement

This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to locate in Liuzhou full time.

The Role

Lead all the activities in Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Production Development Finance, VSSM/Project Finance areas in the JV to ensure continuous financial business improvement

What You’ll Do

  • Accounting
  • Monitor the month-end closing activities to ensure the accurate reporting on timely basis
  • Support the accounting discussion on new accounting standards / reporting requirements implementation and accounting treatment for new initiatives
  • Support the shareholders' analysis / review request e.g. the monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis, quarterly review package, BSR and review with leadership
  • Ensure the effective internal control implementation over the financial reporting/business operation in JV
  • Support the audit work, be a bridge among JV / Shareholder / External auditors and resolve the issues where necessary
  • FP&A
  • Monitor the actual reporting and forecasting process, provide the insights on business performance, including but not limited to volume projection, policy/regulation impact on auto industry, risk & opportunities and review with shareholders
  • Support the budget preparation and review for BoD meeting and align the target with shareholders
  • Lead the long-term plan development to establish the operational goals, identify the key focus area and review with shareholders
  • Treasury
  • Monitor the daily cash balance and review the cash flow forecast to ensure the cash is adequate.
  • Monitor/control the counterparty exposure risks and align with JV partners
  • Review/support the transactions, e.g. fund transfer, BD discount, BD issuance to maximize the interests under risk control
  • Maintain the good relationship with banks to ensure the loan facility is available as necessary
  • Product Development Finance
  • Support the business discussion on portfolio strategy, product positioning and new program development. Solve problems and develop new methods of analysis to streamline decision making
  • Review the financial analysis in relation to the new project profitability and viability, including but not limited to volume, pricing, cost, investment details.
  • Coordinate information flow with other business functions, communicate key issues for action/decision, provide recommendation and support decision making
  • VSSM & Project Finance
  • Review the transfer price for export business and support the business discussion if OBEC & market
  • Review and support the pricing activities in JV
  • Monitor the aftersales business performance to sure the annual target is properly established and achieved
  • Review the accessory business performance to identify the opportunities for new growth area
  • Support new business development and review the financial analysis on business model innovation
  • Across China JVs & functions to achieve the NEV/CAFC collaboration and maximize the GM interests in China
  • Coordinate / facilitate the contract structuring / negotiation with shareholders/other JV, e.g. ESA, equipment purchase, credit sales etc.
  • Support the new export program with GM markets. Work with team to identify the improvement opportunities, implement solutions to drive efficiencies and align with partner
  • Others
  • Establish the strong business relationships with JV partners/Cross- function/Shareholders to facilitate communication
  • Develop the local talent and provide the training where necessary
