Job description
Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.
The Role: The Demand Planning Manager leads demand and supply alignment activities to ensure customer demand is met through accurate forecasting, capacity planning, schedule stability, and cross-functional execution.
What You'll Do:
- Lead demand and supply alignment activities to support customer demand requirements while improving schedule stability and overall operational performance.
- Improve demand forecasting for models, options, and parts through structured planning processes and stronger forecast accuracy management.
- Integrate component and vehicle capacity planning into demand planning to ensure supply readiness across current and future programs.
- Execute monthly demand and supply alignment processes, balancing sales demand with manufacturing and supply base capabilities.
- Lead cross-functional reviews to identify capacity gaps, supply constraints, unmet demand risks, and required allocation alternatives.
- Develop and maintain planning metrics, reporting, and analytics that support data-driven decisions and performance trade-off evaluation.
- Identify process gaps across the demand and supply planning workflow and lead continuous improvement initiatives to close them.
- Reduce manual work and improve process efficiency through automation, systems integration, and single-source data solutions.
- follow up and track crippled units on a weekly basis
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualification) Educational and Experience Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 4 ~ 6 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, scheduling, industrial engineering, or operational excellence.
Technical Skills
- Demand forecasting and forecast accuracy improvement.
- Demand and supply alignment.
- Capacity planning at vehicle and component level.
- Scheduling and S&OP process support.
- Microsoft Office, Power Apps / ERP (SAP)
Competencies
- Strong cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, purchasing, and program teams.
- Clear and effective communication of planning insights, risks, and recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
