Overview Reporting to the Depot Distribution Center Lead, the Logistics Management Analyst (ADM03) is responsible for day‑to‑day warehouse and distribution operations within the Depot Distribution Center (DDC). This role performs a combination of manual and clerical duties to receive, store, pick, pack, stage, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies in support of depot maintenance and repair activities. The Logistics Management Analyst ensures inventory accuracy, proper material handling, and timely movement of material to internal and external customers while maintaining a safe, compliant, and well‑organized warehouse environment.

Job Responsibilities

Receiving & Inspection Receive incoming materials, parts, and equipment at the Depot Distribution Center. Verify item counts, part numbers, and documentation against packing lists, manifests, and purchase/transfer orders. Inspect incoming items for visible damage, mismatched labels, or discrepancies and escalate issues for resolution. Record receipts in the inventory/ERP system (e.g., SAP) and generate appropriate labels, tags, or barcodes. Put‑Away & Storage Place received items into assigned storage locations (bins, racks, shelves) in accordance with established storage plans and handling requirements. Ensure items are stored by part number, condition, and hazard/safety requirements to support traceability and compliance. Maintain accurate location data in the system so material can be quickly located and issued. Inventory Control & Cycle Counting Perform routine cycle counts and full physical inventories as directed. Compare physical counts to system quantities, investigate discrepancies (e.g., mis‑picks, mis‑labels, unrecorded moves), and support corrections in the system. Monitor and help maintain minimum/maximum levels for key stock items; alert the Depot Distribution Center Lead to potential stock‑out or overstock conditions. Assist with reconciliation of inventory reports and preparation of inventory accuracy metrics. Picking, Kitting & Material Staging Pick material to support internal work orders, maintenance/repair activities, and customer requirements using system‑generated pick lists. Build and stage kits of parts for scheduled work, ensuring correct quantities, part numbers, and configurations. Verify that all required components are present before releasing material to internal customers or downstream processes. Return unused or excess material to stock, updating records to maintain inventory accuracy. Packing, Shipping & Internal Transfers Pack materials for internal transfers and outbound shipments in accordance with company procedures and any applicable handling requirements. Prepare packing lists, manifests, and other shipping documentation needed for internal moves and external deliveries. Coordinate with transportation, couriers, or other logistics functions to schedule pickups and deliveries. Track shipments as required and support resolution of late, lost, or damaged shipments. Data Entry, Documentation & Systems Use Enter and update transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments) in SAP or other designated inventory/warehouse management systems. Maintain accurate paper and electronic records of receipts, issues, returns, and inventory adjustments to support audits and traceability. Run basic system queries and reports (e.g., on‑hand balances, open picks, aging inventory) to support Depot Distribution Center operations. Housekeeping, Safety & Equipment Care Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and stockroom areas, including aisles, bins, staging areas, and workstations. Comply with all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and material handling guidelines. Perform basic care and pre‑use checks on material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts, forklifts if licensed) and report any issues. Coordination & Customer Support Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and other internal customers to validate material availability and resolve material issues. Support customer walk‑up requests and provide status updates on material location, availability, and shipment status. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and other departments to keep work flowing and resolve problems quickly. Process Compliance & Continuous Improvement Follow established Depot Distribution Center procedures, work instructions, and quality standards for all warehouse activities. Identify opportunities to improve material flow, reduce errors, increase inventory accuracy, and better utilize warehouse space. Participate in process improvement or corrective‑action activities as assigned by the Depot Distribution Center Lead. Basic

Qualifications

Experience

working in a warehouse, stockroom, distribution center, depot, or similar material handling environment. Basic understanding of inventory control, storage methods, and material handling practices. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking, and basic reporting.

Experience

using an enterprise inventory or warehouse management system (e.g., SAP or similar). Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced depot environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a depot, repair/overhaul logistics, or sustainment support environment. Knowledge and use of ERP/MRP and/or warehouse management systems for inventory transactions and reporting. Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, filters, and/or macros). Active, in‑scope DoD Secret clearance. Ability to read basic technical drawings and bills of material to verify part numbers and configurations.

Physical Requirements

Physically able to complete required tasks such as walking, standing, lifting, bending, and working in a loud warehouse environment. Ability to safely lift and move materials in accordance with established ergonomic and safety guidelines, with or without reasonable accommodation. Occasional travel to the Redstone Gateway location if/when required. Primary Level Salary Range: $81,800.00 - $122,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
