POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW The Department of Politics at The New School for Social Research seeks a responsible student to provide administrative and event support. The applicant must possess strong organizational skills, be able to take direction, be reliable and self-sufficient. Office experience and some skill with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. This position is fully in person in the department office during office hours. CORE CAPABILITIES, PRIMARY DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic office administrative support duties. In-person office coverage. Provide support for department events including on-site support, creating flyers/advertising materials. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Must have Federal Work Study funds Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to take direction and work independently. Able to meet deadlines. WORK MODE This position is in-person during regular office hours.
