AVP Project Manager
Job description
Job Description Purpose of the role To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. Accountabilities Management of change projects within the organisation, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards. Development and management of project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects. Communication with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure that they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are being met. Management of project teams, ensuring that they are properly resourced and that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives. Management of project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed budget. Creation of reports on project progress to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Management of project risks, ensuring that risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary. Facilitation of change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure that change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy. Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively. Qualifications
Project & Programme Delivery Management :Proven experience leading complex change initiatives through planning, execution and delivery phases, including development and management of project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets, governance, status reporting, RAIDs, and steering committee updates. Execution & Delivery Leadership :Demonstrated ability to drive programmes to successful outcomes by proactively managing risks, resolving issues, removing impediments, managing critical dependencies, and executing recovery/re-planning activities where required. Regulatory Reporting Change Management:
Experience
delivering Finance and/or Regulatory Reporting change initiatives, with an understanding of the end-to-end reporting lifecycle, regulatory obligations, data lineage, controls, and reporting frameworks. End-to-End Testing Management: Strong experience defining and leading E2E/UAT testing across multiple systems and stakeholder groups, including test strategy, test planning, test data management, entry/exit criteria, execution governance, defect triage, and reporting. Finance and Technology Bridging Capability :Ability to operate effectively across Finance, Technology, Data and Business teams, translating business requirements into delivery outcomes and ensuring alignment across workstreams. Technology & Data Understanding :Working knowledge of system architectures, data flows, interfaces, data transformation processes, and integration patterns, with the ability to challenge technology teams and assess delivery impacts and dependencies. Stakeholder Management & Influencing: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility, collaborate, influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Operations and Business functions. Governance, Risk & Control Management :
Experience
establishing and managing robust governance frameworks, including RAID management, escalation processes, decision forums, regulatory milestones, and management reporting. Change Management Expertise :Strong understanding of project and change management lifecycles, including requirements, design, build, testing, implementation, and post-production support, with appreciation of interdependencies across programmes. Agile Delivery:
Experience
working within Agile/SAFe delivery environments, including backlog management, sprint planning, iteration tracking, dependency management, and use of Jira and related tooling. Communication & Documentation Skills :Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality project documentation, executive-level updates, governance materials, test artefacts, and stakeholder communications. Self-Starter with Strong Ownership: Highly proactive and delivery-focused individual capable of working independently, rapidly learning new domains, managing ambiguity, and driving outcomes with minimal supervision. Desirable skillsets/ good to have: Accounting & Finance Knowledge :Understanding of accounting principles, financial products, financial data structures, and finance operating models. Business Analysis Skills: Ability to facilitate requirements gathering, process analysis, impact assessments, solution evaluation, and business process documentation. Data Management & Data Quality

Exposure to data governance, data lineage, data controls, reconciliation processes, and regulatory reporting data remediation initiatives. Regulatory Transformation
Experience
