VP – Finance Transformation – Scenario Analysis
Job description
Job Description Purpose of the role To develop business capabilities for Finance through key stages of functional design, data, end-to-end-process and controls, delivery, and functional testing. Accountabilities Functional Design: leveraging best practice concepts, and in collaboration with Line SMEs, support options analysis and recommendations as part of decision making. Data Analysis/Modelling/Governance: design conceptual data model underpinning all phases of the processes, and governance requirements in accordance with GDMS standards and principles. End-to-End Process & Controls - development of target process and controls design/documentation and operational runbooks and aligning these components with organisational and role/service model design definitions. . Delivery/Implementation Support: update design/functional requirements throughout the development cycle, and resolve RAIDS related to functional requirements and business processes. Project management for change programmes that have limited technology investment. Functional Testing: develop scripts and data to test alignment to requirement definitions, ahead of user testing cycles. Vice President Expectations To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.. To be successful as a VP – Finance Transformation – Scenario Analysis, you should have experience with: Extensive knowledge of the banking and financial markets sector. Broad knowledge of modelling techniques including the model lifecycle for Planning, Stress Testing, Impairments, Treasury and Risk. Can read, understand and write key artifacts such as business architecture diagrams and flows, model technical documentation, business requirements, and perform necessary analysis. Understand regulations impacting the Stress Testing, Impairment, Planning and Treasury landscape (such as IHC CCAR, EBA stress test, ACS, Planning cycles, IRRBB, Recovery and Resolution Planning, and internal stress testing frameworks) Exceptional business analytical skills. Appreciation of data principles, including data modelling and data design. Strong commercial knowledge and understanding of economic drivers. Demonstrate a range of styles and techniques in leadership and communications, including influencing and negotiating with a broad set of stakeholders. Proven ability to work globally and develop close working relationships with peer teams in other regions. Ability to work independently and deliver with accuracy and attention to detail. Have track record and interest in working with large scale change, business and technology transformation programmes. Ability to lead teams. Have Word, Power-point skills, with the ability to storyboard and produce best-in-class presentations. Some other highly valued skills include: Certifications such as FRM (GARP), CFA, MBA Finance, CA/CPA, and or any advanced Finance / Risk qualifications. Data Analytics, working knowledge of datasets, databases / query languages (such as SQL, equivalents) towards techno-functional skills. Good understanding of AI / ML from a capability, design, and business perspective. Knowledge of transformation frameworks, business process modelling, controls environment, model execution frameworks, and reporting tools (such as Tableau or Qlik). Knowledge of data flow, lineage, reporting tools, planning/stress testing/impairment/treasury use cases and regulations, regulatory forms and tools. Knowledge of Planning, Stress Testing, Impairment, Treasury modelling, operational processing, reporting. Experience of finance transformation programs and demonstrable track record leading a variety of relevant projects from inception through design and implementation. You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job specific technical skills. The role is based out of Noida and Chennai.
