Working closely with the Office of the Provost (Academic Affairs, Budget and Fiscal Affairs, Faculty Affairs, and Academic Administration and Operations). The Graduate Assistant assists with research, policy development, data analysis, budget tracking, faculty initiatives, strategic planning, and special projects that promote institutional effectiveness and academic excellence.

Responsibilities

Provide front-office support by responding to routine inquiries and directing questions to the appropriate staff member Assist with reviewing and proofreading reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents. Organize and maintain electronic files, records, and project documentation Assist with special projects that support the Office of the Provost (Academic Affairs, Budget and Fiscal Affairs, Faculty Affairs and Academic Administration and Operations) Assist with maintaining budget spreadsheets, tracking expenditures, and reconciling financial records under staff supervision Provide support with meetings and office sponsored events Perform other duties as assigned Required

Education

Experience

Bachelor's degree in an applicable field. Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semester). Must be in good academic standing Required
