Accordingly, if you will now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status this moratorium may affect our ability to employ you should you be selected as the final candidate ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Building Access Technician II, under general supervision, rekeys, installs, and maintains locks. Installs and maintains the University card access system. Maintains records in shop database. Maintains shop inventory and places orders for materials and supplies. The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.
Responsibilities
Oversees the computer management of the campus keying system. Provides direction and assists and trains other departmental personnel. Installs and maintains the University card access system. Oversees bench stock inventory and parts ordering. Provides estimation and planning services to departments with regards to their rekeying needs. Cuts keys and repairs, rekeys, and installs locks. Maintains shop equipment Changes safe combinations and repairs safes. Performs other duties as assigned. Required
Education

Experience
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of related experience. Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of hand tools, key cutters, and boring and mortise jigs. Knowledge of master keying systems, commercial grade door hardware, and online card access systems. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Other
Requirements
Position may require some evenings, weekends and on-call schedule.
