Job description

You will lead a team of Engineering Technicians specialising in electrical, automation and instrumentation to keep our Singapore manufacturing site safe, reliable and inspection-ready. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering and Project teams, as well as external suppliers and contractors. Responsibilities

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and technical guidance to Electrical & Automation Technicians, ensuring safe and reliable execution of maintenance activities. Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for electrical, automation and instrumentation systems to maximise equipment uptime and support zero accidents, zero defects and zero waste. Ensure all electrically-driven equipment and related systems (e.g. HV/LV switchboards, transformers, UPS, battery chargers, capacitor banks, emergency generators) are maintained in good condition to minimise disruption to manufacturing. Plan, prioritise and deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, shutdowns and equipment handovers, ensuring strong schedule adherence and coordination with Production and Utilities. Support capital projects and equipment modifications, including installation, commissioning, qualification and handover into routine operations, in alignment with GSK Engineering and Quality standards. Manage contractors and external suppliers to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of maintenance and project activities, including clear scope definition and performance follow-up. Coach, develop and engage a team of technicians, using GSK development frameworks (e.g. 70/20/10) to build technical capability, resilience and succession. - Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives (e.g. reduction of repeat failures, improvement of PM/CM effectiveness, root cause analysis and CAPA implementation). Ensure maintenance activities are executed in accordance with EHS requirements, cGMP, Good Engineering Practice (GEP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and relevant GSK standards. Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records in the site CMMS (e.g. SAP), supporting audit and regulatory readiness and performance management. Basic

Qualifications

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and experience to help us achieve our goals: Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechatronic or related Engineering discipline. - Minimum 7 years of hands-on engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. pharmaceutical, food, medical devices, chemical). Practical experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning and qualification of electrical and automation systems.

Experience

supervising technicians or leading small operational/maintenance teams, including planning work and managing priorities. Demonstrated knowledge of EHS, quality, cGMP, GEP and Good Documentation Practices in a manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving skills, with effective written and verbal communication and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

Experience

in pharmaceutical manufacturing and utility systems (e.g. clean utilities, building management systems, process control systems). Familiarity with Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP) and validation of automation systems.

Experience

with maintenance management systems and work order processes (e.g. SAP, CMMS), including PM/CM planning and reporting.

Experience

delivering small to medium capital projects or engineering change controls. Proven track record in continuous improvement, reliability engineering or asset care initiatives.

Experience

coaching and developing technical teams, building a strong safety and quality culture. Formal electrical qualifications or registrations (e.g. ATEX, Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) registration) and/or relevant local regulatory certifications.
