JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary Function The Senior Specialist, Commercial Excellence & Business Operations plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision making and operational excellence across the Japan Electrophysiology (EP) business. This position serves as a strategic business partner to commercial leadership by transforming complex data into actionable insights, supporting business planning and performance management, and driving initiatives that improve commercial effectiveness and organizational productivity. In addition to commercial analytics responsibilities, the role contributes to distributor management, business process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives that strengthen operational capabilities and support sustainable business growth. Responsibilities
Commercial Data Management & Analytics: Serve as the primary owner of commercial data management and analytical support for the Japan EP business. Manage and continuously improve commercial data infrastructure, reporting processes, and analytical frameworks. Consolidate, validate, and maintain multiple data sources. Ensure integrity, accuracy, consistency, and governance of commercial data utilized for business decision-making. Define, maintain, and standardize commercial KPIs across the organization. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance monitoring tools utilizing Excel, Power BI, and other reporting platforms. Conduct regular and ad hoc analyses to identify Growth opportunities, Market trends, and Commercial risks Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders. Provide timely and insightful performance analysis to support commercial reviews and management decision-making. Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders regarding reporting and analytics initiatives. Business Planning & Commercial Performance Management: Support commercial leadership in planning, forecasting, and performance management activities. Support annual operating plan development and periodic business reviews. Assist in forecasting processes through analytical modeling and performance tracking. Conduct business performance analyses and identify key drivers impacting results. Support resource allocation, territory optimization, and investment prioritization discussions. Develop presentations and recommendations for leadership reviews. Partner with Finance and Commercial leadership to evaluate business opportunities and risks. Support development of business cases for strategic initiatives and commercial investments. Dealer & Channel Performance Management: Support effective distributor and dealer management through analytical and operational excellence. Monitor and evaluate distributor performance using data-driven methodologies. Develop and maintain dealer performance scorecards and reporting tools. Support planning and execution of dealer incentive programs. Conduct analyses to identify opportunities for channel optimization and market coverage improvement. Coordinate dealer-related reviews, governance processes, and business meetings. Support contract administration and distributor compliance activities. Assist in third-party risk assessment processes and distributor evaluations. Collaborate with Sales leadership to improve distributor engagement and execution effectiveness. Business Process Excellence & Digital Transformation: Drive operational excellence by optimizing business processes, leveraging digital solutions, and enabling scalable ways of working across the Japan EP organization. Identify and improve inefficient processes across commercial and support functions. Simplify, standardize, and automate business workflows to enhance productivity and scalability. Partner with IT and business stakeholders to implement digital solutions and system enhancements. Support adoption of new technologies, reporting tools, and digital capabilities. Promote data accessibility, self-service reporting, and automation opportunities. Establish process KPIs and monitor performance to drive continuous improvement. Lead or support cross-functional initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and business efficiency. Minimum
Requirements
Education
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Associate Degree will be accepted with relevant experience and certifications in the the field of data management and analysis. Background: 3+ years’ experience in Commercial data management and system structure with analysis in commercial organization, preferably healthcare industry. Sales Database knowledge and experiences required, Excel, PowerBI skills are plus Successful experiences of project management in commercial data initiatives Successful experience of stake holder management in matrix organization Preferred Requirement 3+ years' experience in Commercial Excellence, Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE), Business Analytics, Sales, or Marketing within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry. 3+ years' experience in management consulting, business planning, or strategic project roles, preferably within healthcare-related industries.
Experience
