Senior Buyer

Why This Role Matters As a Senior Buyer, you will support indirect procurement activities, manage sourcing and purchasing processes, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive compliance, cost savings, operational excellence, and a hands-free procurement environment. What You Will Do Process purchase requests and allocate orders to suppliers within agreed service levels. Review requisitions, conduct sourcing and bidding activities, and secure the best value for the business. Ensure compliance with company spending policies, procurement procedures, and supplier agreements. Monitor purchase orders, expedite deliveries, resolve blocked invoices, and close inactive orders when required. Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve procurement issues and improve service performance. Manage catalog and supplier data within procurement systems and identify opportunities for catalog expansion. Support cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives through negotiations and effective sourcing strategies. Track recurring spend patterns and recommend sourcing improvements to Category Managers. Deliver process training, prepare operational metrics, and help maintain procurement documentation and procedures. Identify opportunities to simplify processes and eliminate non-value-added activities. What We're Looking For You must have Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field. You must have minimum of 18 months of procurement experience, including supplier evaluation and sourcing activities. You must have experience with negotiations and vendor management is an advantage. You must have analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail. You must have very good written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills may be required depending on the supported region. You must have the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and service level commitments. You must be a team-oriented mindset with strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills. You must be a self-starter who can work independently and continuously look for improvement opportunities. You must have a very good knowledge of procurement systems, catalogs, spend compliance, and purchase order management. Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
