Duties
20% - Veterans’ Benefit Certifications: Maintain status as a VA certifying official. Completing VA certifications as needed by the Veterans’ Benefit Coordinator. Facilitate record keeping and quality assurance procedures. 20% - General Registrar Support: Develops positive relationships across the department and the university, providing assistance to colleagues on all aspects of UREG processes. Cross training across other office functions and processes as further areas of need are identified. Provide ongoing, expert backfill within UREG to support fluctuations in staffing due to university-wide projects and implementations. 20% - Enrollment Services Support: Perform registration and schedule adjustments. 10% - Degree Progress and Audit: Process major/minor declarations. Process degree program substitutions. Process final semester underload requests. Support degree audit as needed by the Degree Audit Manager. 10% - Transfer Credit Evaluation: Enter transfer credit on student records for pre-matriculated and current students. Respond to transfer credit inquiries as needed by the Transfer Credit Coordinator. 10% - Student Records Maintenance: Perform personal information adjustments. Produce transcripts and enrollment verifications. File and reconcile document images. Build off-line student records into Banner. 10% - Customer Service Interactions: Support front-end customer service at times of peak traffic and/or limited staffing. Provide appropriate and professional customer service during all interactions (in person and by phone). Refer internal and external customers to the appropriate department for assistance. Respond to inquiries received via the University Registrar’s Office general email account and other office accounts as needed. Posting Range: Up to $45,000, commensurate with experience. The appointment is expected to continue through the implementation period (minimum 3 years), with the possibility of extension based on operational needs and funding.
